Social Responsibility:
The capacity to show that you are a contributing member of your society. This element of emotional intelligence includes acting responsibly, even if you will not personally benefit from it. It also includes accepting others, doing unto others as you would like done to you, and keeping in accord with social rules. Being socially responsible means having a sensitivity for the concern of others and using their skills for the communal good. Those who are lacking this capacity may take advantage of others and/or be offensive and rude.
